A shared space for the semester installation
Terra Labs is developing an experiential installation for the end of the semester. As OpenUSD Lead, I am building a digital twin of the space so the teams can plan their individual installations within one shared environment.
My work includes OpenUSD scene assembly, asset-pipeline development, and integrating 3D assets in NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac Sim. The digital twin is still in development.
Installation planning and robotics training
The digital twin is intended to serve both the installation teams and the robotics team. Installation teams will be able to use the shared space to plan their work in context, while the robotics team can use it for drone training and other robotics training.
I am structuring scenes and configuring reusable environments to support these uses. Installation planning and training are intended applications of the developing environment, not completed deployment or training results.
OpenUSD workshops
I will also teach workshops relating to OpenUSD, helping teammates build familiarity with the tools and workflows used in our simulation environments.
